Start the evening with a culinary delight and allow yourself to be spoiled with a delicious dinner before the concert. The Restaurant Gendarmerie is only a few minutes away from the Komische Oper and offers modern Berlin brasserie cuisine in a stylish ambience.
On the 4th Advent weekend, three gifted musicians will interpret Christmas pieces by Bach, Schubert, Albinoni and others in style. Prof. Matthias Eisenberg is regarded as one of the best organists in Germany. If you like organ music, you should know him and not miss his brilliant improvisations. Together with his colleague Daniel Schmahl, virtuoso on the trumpet and the piccolo horn, the duo has always convinced in recent years with an exciting mixture of festive Christmas music. This year they will be vocally accompanied by the internationally sought‐after countertenor star Zvi Emanuel‐Marial. The three soloists captivate the listeners, not least with Schubert's 'Ave Maria' and their sensitive way of making music, and create a contemplative Christmas mood.
