Martin Stadtfeld is one of the most renowned young pianists of his generation. His new project takes up old traditions: Martin Stadtfeld arranges German folk songs and frames these arrangements, some of them highly virtuosic, with great works of piano literature: an English suite by Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven's 'Waldstein' Sonata — considered a turning point in the history of piano music. Of course, such a program should not be without a joint evening carol singing! The Summer Concerts bring this exciting concert in a country setting to an idyll in Brandenburg: the Eibenhof in Bad Saarow is picturesquely situated on a headland in the Scharmützelsee, surrounded by water, nature, meadows and pastures. The cultural barn on the grounds has become one of the region's most important concert venues.
