파리의 역사적인 5구, 일명 라틴 지구 한적한 구석에 자리한 이 작고 아담한 교회는 진정한 숨겨진 보석이다. 1733년 정통 코린트 양식으로 건축된 이 교회는 19세기 후반까지 여러 종교 단체가 사용하다가, 로베르 드 뮈와 알베르 드 뮈가 창립한 가톨릭 사회 운동의 중심지가 되었다. 내부는 인상적인 그림 컬렉션으로 고전적으로 장식되어 있다. 생 에프렘 교회는 아늑하고 친밀한 분위기와 탁월한 음향 덕분에 클래식 음악 콘서트 장소로 인기가 높으며, 현지인과 관광객 모두를 끌어모읍니다.
프레데리크 쇼팽
프레데리크 쇼팽은 낭만주의 시대(19세기 초)의 폴란드 작곡가이자 피아니스트였다. 주로 피아노 독주곡을 작곡했으나 피아노 협주곡, 실내악 작품, 폴란드 가사를 붙인 가곡도 남겼다. 동시대 누구도 따라올 수 없는 시적 천재로 널리 알려져 있다. 실제로 그는 기악 발라드라는 장르를 창시했으며, 그의 연주는 섬세함과 미묘한 차이로 유명했다. 그는 생애 대부분을 파리에서 보냈으며, 사교 모임의 친밀한 분위기 속에서 연주했다. 평생 건강이 좋지 않았고, 결국 39세의 젊은 나이에 결핵으로 추정되는 병으로 세상을 떠났다.

Elio di Tanna was absolutely brilliant. I sat 2 rows back aisle seat right so I could see his hands. he plays so cleanly and with confidence. almost all of the compositions he played were from memory‐ i cant believe how wonderful a piano sounds when played by someone that talented

The interior of the venue was too hot. The atmosphere of the concert would be better if at least some ventilation was provided. Could not concentrate to the concert. Only the music was good.

This was one of the most passionate and intense concerts i ever saw. The pianist , Elio Di Tanna plays marvellously several Chopin pieces and the audience applauded him for long 10 minutes. Das Konzert war das Geld allemal wert: Ein hervorragender Pianist mit einem guten Programm in einem (nach Abschalten der elektrischen Beleuchtung) angenehmen Ambiente und in einer Kapelle mit passender Größe und wirklich guter Akustik.
