Since its opening in 1985, the "Gasteig" has developed into a center of cultural life in Munich. It is central and highly visible, situated on the right side of the Isar. The house accommodates several renowned cultural institutions of the state capital Munich.

With more than 1,700 events a year the "Gasteig" offers a multi‐faceted programme of high calibre events.
