Alexandria's Roman Heritage — From Cairo
Early morning you will be picked up by Menatours representative to start the trip to Alexandria; It is internationally known as the ‘Bride of the Mediterranean.Visit Fort of Qaitbay, from the 15th century, which is a defensive fortress located on the Mediterranean sea coast in Egypt,Visit Pompey’s Pillar. It is a 28 meter high pillar and dates from the third century. The pillar was raised in honor of Emperor Diocletian, who saved the city of Alexandria from famine. Continue to the Catacomb of Kom Al Shukafa which is the largest Roman cemetery and consists of three levels cut in the rock to a depth of 100 feet, dating back to the turn of the second century. It is a blend of Pharaonic and Roman art. View the Alexandria library from outside then visit Al‐Montazah Gardens; the Royal garden with an area of approximately 370 acres. It is located in the Al‐Montazah neighborhood in eastern Alexandria, which contains a large collection of ancient trees and rare flowers. Lunch is included.

Concerti del Tempietto: Roman Nights at Marcello's Theatre
The show: a pleasant musical evening in the historic centre of Rome. The Tempietto Concerts — Festival Musicale delle Nazioni present the Notti Romane at the Theatre of Marcellus. The prestigious series of musical events of the Roman Summer with Italian and international artists take place every day with an afternoon event at 6.30 pm and an evening concert at 8.30 pm and a guided tour in English or Italian through the archaeological area of the Marcellus Theatre at 7.45 pm. With the same ticket you have the possibility of attending all 2 concerts and the tour.

The Royal Braemar Highland Gathering
We will leave Edinburgh crossing the River Forth over the magnificent Forth Road Bridge and head through Perthshire, known as the Heart of Scotland. We then travel over to Glenshee, the skiing capital of Scotland, hoping to catch a glimpse of wild deer or pheasant before heading down to the Royal Deeside. There have been gatherings of one sort or another at Braemar since the days of King Malcolm Canmore, over nine hundred years ago. Today the gathering is run by the Braemar Royal Highland Society and each year large crowds come to acclaim their Monarch as Chieftain of the Braemar Gathering. The festivities are fit for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the First of Scotland and various members of the Royal Family including H.R.H. Queen Elizabeth the first of Scotland will be in attendance. International athletes will be among those taking part in the track and dancing events. Teams from H.M. Forces that will compete in the Inter‐Services Unit Tug of War Championship and in the Services Medley Relay Race. Scottish Pipe Bands will play their hearts out with the customary Massed Pipe Bands appearing as well as traditional Scottish meals, snacks and refreshments will be available.

Full Roman Tour Merida
We will begin our visit in the Temple of Diana, where we can participate in the religious sphere of worship of the gods and the emperor. We will walk through the remains of the Roman Forum, with artisan shops of terracotta and mosaic, typical of Merida. In the Roman Baths, you can see how the numerous pools were heated or cooled through ovens and the incredible snow pit. We will enter the Roman circus, with stands and paths prepared for the exciting quadrilateral races. We’ll stop at the cozy Amphitheatre Villa, and enter its bedrooms and kitchens with colorful mosaics from the 1st century AD. As we enter the amphitheater, we will experience the famous gladiatorial battles, fights with beasts and even ship battles. We will finish at the magnificent Teatro Romano de Mérida, where every summer we revive the spirit of classical theatre in a festival with renowned actors.
