성 파올로 교회 엔트로 레 무라

'성벽 안의 성 바울 교회'는 이탈리아 통일 이후 로마에 세워진 최초의 비 가톨릭 교회예요. 이 교회는 1873년에서 1880년 사이에 로마 나치오날레 비아 카스트로 프레토리오 지구에 성공회 성당으로 지어졌습니다. 고딕 리바이벌 양식으로 지어진 독특한 외관은 붉은 벽돌과 석회암 벽돌이 번갈아 가며 사용된 것이 특징입니다. 윌리엄 모리스와 협업한 영국의 라파엘전파 화가 에드워드 번-존스의 화려한 모자이크 4점은 교회 내부의 가장 큰 자랑거리입니다. 독수리 눈의 소유자라면 정교한 모자이크에 그려진 교회의 교부들을 대표하는 19세기 유명 인물들, 즉 예술가 자신과 저명한 기부자 및 그 가족, '기독교 전사' 중 아브라함 링컨, 주세페 가리발디, 그랜트 장군 등을 발견할 수 있을 것입니다. 이곳에서는 라 트라비아타 같은 인기 오페라 공연을 비롯해 다양한 클래식 이벤트가 열립니다.

주세페 베르디

    Enjoyed the performance and selection of music etc. However, the overall experience could be much better if performers used microphones attached to lapels.
