Volksoper Wien
The magnificent and historic Vienna Volksoper offers a rich and varied season of opera, operetta, ballet, and musicals. The Volksoper is Vienna’s leading opera house with over 300 performances each year. It specializes in the operetta form, a lighter form of opera, which is often comic in nature and wildly popular with the citizens of Vienna. Johann Strauss and Franz Lehár are two of the most well-loved composers of the genre. Their world-famous melodies for operettas such as The Fledermaus and The Merry Widow can be enjoyed today as they were a century ago. A visit to at least one performance at the Vienna Volksoper is a must for every visitor to Vienna! Order your Vienna Volksoper tickets conveniently and securely with Classictic and receive them via e-mail as e-Tickets or go paperless and get your tickets directly on your Mobile device.
