'Only Piano' is the exquisite musical event offered every Saturday evening at 'The World's Smallest Theater' in Barcelona.
The concert pianist, master of improvisation, and award‐nominated film composer Luis de Arquer describes these exclusive and intimate concerts as inventive and satisfying. Set within Arquer's own home, the World's Smallest Theater (El Teatre més Petits del Món) offers nineteenth‐century ambience that perfectly suits the music of Chopin, Beethoven, and Mozart, as well as the Arquer's own compositions and improvisations.
The evening ends with the luxurious pleasure of a glass of champagne in the romantic candlelit garden.

| 솔로이스트: | 루이스 데 아르케르 루이스 데 아르케르는 바르셀로나 근교의 작은 마을 세르다니올라 델 발레스에서 예술가이자 음악 애호가 집안의 자식으로 태어나 음악 공부를 시작했다. 첫 스승 롤리타 마르티네스가 연주한 베토벤 소나타 한 곡이 그에게 깊은 감동을 주었고, 바로 그 순간 그는 어린 나이에 음악에 전념하기로 결심했다. 겨우 일곱 살의 어린 나이에 그는 피아노로 바흐, 쇼팽, 베토벤 등 다양한 스타일의 즉흥 연주를 선보이며 탁월한 기량과 음악적 상상력으로 청중을 사로잡았다. 그의 눈부신 성장은 당시 최고의 음악인들이 모이던 바르셀로나의 아카데미아 마르샬(Academia Marshall)의 문을 열어주었다. 그는 최우수상과 심사위원회의 특별 표창을 받으며 학업을 마쳤다. 카탈루냐 자치정부(Generalitat de Catalunya)의 장학금 덕분에 그는 파리 국립음악원(L’Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris)에서 아킬레스 델레비뉴(Aquiles Delle‐Vigne)에게 사사하며 연주 기법을 완성했다. |

Nous avons passé une excellente soirée. L'accueil était parfait. Les places sont réservées une fois que l'on s'est présenté durant la 1/2 heure qui précède le début du concert. Cela permet d'aller prendre un verre dans les ruelles alentour. La salle est dotée d'une bonne acoustique. Louis de Arquer a passé plusieurs minutes à détailler son interprétation ainsi que ses propres œuvres, dans un Castillan plus que compréhensible. A la fin du concert succède la dégustation d'un cava dans le patio de l'arrière cour — endroit très agréable, légèrement éclairé. Louis, comme osent l'appeler tous les gens présents, va alors de groupe en groupe, discuter avec son auditoire. Il nous a, avec émotion, dédicacé un de ses CD (gagné quelques minutes plus tôt) aux cours des mots que nous avons échangé en Français.

It was one of the best piano recitals I have ever been! I am very thankful with you, because I bought this ticket on December and because of work issues I could t go to the event, and you gave me a 70% refund, and this make that I could bought the two tickets again for this time.

Fue una total sorpresa, pues no teniamos conocimiento ni del local ni del pianista. El local es realmente original y muy acogedor, es la misma casa donde reside el pianista, el cual me pareció extraordinario, con muchísima fuerza. Para terminar nos ofrecieron una copa de capa en el jardin y pudimos hablar con el pianista, el cual es una persona muy agradable y un gran conversador. Un 10 en todo. Repetiremos y lo recomendaremos.
