The Symphony Concert, “We Play Together: P. J. L. Geniušas”, features works by Poulenc, Ravel, Dvořak, and Brahms.
The musicians of a famous Lithuanian dynasty will play at the concert: Julius Geniušas, the Kaunas State Music Theatre’s chief conductor; Petras Geniušas, the charismatic pianist and the author of non‐traditional interpretations, who bravely takes up jazz and theatre, and the pianist Lukas Geniušas, the youngest member of this impressive dynasty. He is quickly rising to fame with his sophisticated performance of the most complex piano compositions and winning important awards at international pianists’ competitions.
In 2010, Chopin’s 200th birthday was commemorated. Lukas Geniušas marked it by winning the silver medal at the 16th International Frederic Chopin Pianists’ Competition.
