Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in Concert: Duo Cassado

The excellent Duo Cassado was formed in 2000 by Spanish cellist Damían Martínez Marco and pianist Marta Moll de Alba. The ensemble has rapidly earned recognition on stages of South America, Morrocco, Jordan, Egypt, Portugal, Italy, Israel, and Canada.

La Sociedad Filarmónica de Las Palmas is the oldest Philharmonic Society of Spain. It was born in the nineteenth century and has been the undisputed pioneer of musical activity and development in Las Palmas for nearly two centuries. Projects include the Philharmonic Orchestra of Las Palmas, the Chamber Orchestra, and the Academy of Music, which later became the Conservatory of Music.
