Join this enchanting Soirée in honour of Luise of Prussia at Berlin's Charlottenburg Palace.

The Berlin Residence Concerts celebrate the occasion of the “Year of Luise 2010“ to present splendid festivities and Prussian musical culture in the spirit of the Romantic Era. At the Great Orangery of Charlottenburg Palace, which was Queen Luise’s favourite residence, the doors will open for an enchanting soirée, promising a unique, all‐embracing artistic and culinary experience.

The musically talented Luise, who loved chamber music and choir music, will be the inspiration for an excellent musical programme. At her time, the Queen was also a role model of fashion. The so‐called Prussian “beauty queen” figures in a journey through time with period costumes, offering a look behind the curtain of the couture of the Prussian majesties. Guests will enjoy and evening of witty entertainment, which revives the salon culture that blossomed in the 19th century, crowned by Lucullan delicacies from the royal kitchen.

Highlights: Guided tour of the exhibition / New Wing with the apartments of Queen Luise, Lucullan samples from the royal kitchen, concert and fashion show at the Great Orangery.
