Hans Zender developed the transcription and adaptation of music from older composer's to a new level, as he did with compositions from Schubert or Debussy.
The theme from the Andante in Haydn's Surprise Symphony is the source of the "Dialogue with Haydn". Cords, scales and repetitions are the material. The composer uses techniques such as blending, montage or sequencing for his research for the "the unknown third dimension".
