Premiere et ultime symphonies de Haydn

イベント情報

In this concert, the renown Spanish conductor Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos directs Haydn's Symphony No. 1, Symphony No. 104 'London' and Nicolai Rimsky‐Korsakov's Sheherazade op.35 at the Salle Pleyer in Paris.

Sheherazade is a symphonic poetry (1888) and based on the Book of 1001 Nights. Rimsky‐Korsakov combined common features of the Russian music and elements of oriental sounds into this orchestra piece.
Haydn's Symphony No. 104 in D major is his final symphony and was composed while living in London (1795). The symphony was premiered at the King’s Theatre and was such a success that Haydn wrote in his diary:
'The whole company was thoroughly pleased and so was I. I made 4000 gulden on this evening: such a thing is possible only in England.'

You will enjoy a concert with three great compositions of symphonies at the Salle Pleyer — residence of the renown Orchestra de Paris.
