Mahler's 2nd Symphony & Gustavo Dudamel & Münchner Philharmoniker: Palau de la Música Catalana

イベント情報

The Münchner Philharmoniker performs Mahler's audience‐pleasing Second Symphony under the baton of chief conductor Gustavo Dudamel.

Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 2, also known as the Symphony of the Resurrection, was composed between 1888 and 1894 and was first performed in 1895. This symphony was one of Mahler's most celebrated and successful works during his lifetime.

With the idea of circularity, we started and closed the season with Gustavo Dudamel. On this occasion, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the top ten in the ranking of the best orchestras in the world, and the Orfeó Català join forces to perform Mahler's Second: a work with a narrative programme that, after questioning life after death and feeling the loss of faith, ends up recognising life after the end.
Dudamel, Mahler's expert, will sign a Resurrection with a Catalan Choral Society that is already beginning to be known in all the model pianissimos of the last issue of this sublime work.
