LByron, Agustí Charles

イベント情報

This two‐act opera by Agustí Charles with libretto by Marc Rosich will be performed for the first time on 16 January 2011 at the Staatstheater Darmstadt, and first performance in Spain will follow at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

"LByron" was written by the Catalan composer Agustí Charles, commissioned by the Liceu and the Staatstheater Darmstadt. Charles was a disciple of Miquel Roger, Albert Sardà and Josep Soler before continuing his studies in Europe and America. His brilliant career as a composer includes numerous major prizes. One of them, from the Association of Spanish Symphony Orchestras (AEOS), was awarded for "Seven Looks", which was staged throughout Spain between 2004 and 2008. He is also a distinguished musicologist and teaches at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya.

Agustí Charles' music has been performed all over the world. Don't miss the rare opportunity to hear his freshly composed work at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
