Josef BULVA, born on 9 January 1943 in Brno, is an exceptional personality with an impressive life story. Already at the age of 13 he presented himself to the audience with piano concertos by Mozart and Liszt and impressed with top works of virtuoso literature. In March 1996, Josef Bulva fell on a slippery street and injured his left hand so badly on a piece of broken glass that his career was considered over.He himself retired to Monaco, where he began to build a new life. But no matter how versatile and successful the new activities were, they did not manage to definitively wipe out his talent and will to be a piano virtuoso — 'I was born to play the piano'.
