J.S. Bach: Mertens, Koopman, Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra — Dresden Music Festival

イベント情報

With Ton Koopman and the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, the baroque specialists come to Dresden. The harpsichordist, organist, conductor and musicologist Koopman is considered one of the world's leading Bach connoisseurs and interpreters. Not least for that reason he was elected president of the Bach Archive Leipzig in 2019. With the cantata BWV 82 'I have enough', the Dutch perform alongside three instrumental works by the great St. Thomas cantor one of the most famous church cantatas of Johann Sebastian Bach to the Elbe, which was already popular as a showpiece with bassists in the 18th century. In addition to Buxtehude's 'I am the Resurrection', she will be performing in the Frauenkirche in the interpretation of Klaus Mertens, the expressive singer and freshly baked 'Bach Medal' bearer of the City of Leipzig.
