Mike Fentross's La Sfera Armoniosa ensemble celebrates the anniversary of Giulio Caccini together with Henk Neven.
This Italian composer died four hundred years ago, but his work is still alive and breathing. Baritone Henk Neven shows this in a selection of Caccini's most important song books. The music will be played on authentic baroque instruments.
Giulio Caccini grew from a boy soprano to one of the most popular composers around 1600. He worked at the Florentine court of De' Medici, among other things.
