The Russian pianist Evgeny Kissin has established himself as one of the most outstanding and revered musicians of our time. Always praised for his poetic musicality and exquisite precision, he is one of the few artists who can boast of offering up to fifteen encores in the world's most demanding theatres.
As Herbert von Karajan well predicted, Kissin has perfectly transformed his early virtuosity into warm and profound interpretations full of generosity and dedication.
It has been in the public eye for so long that it is easy to forget that it is still only 46 years old. He remains an enigma, with his combination of fiercely brilliant technique and remarkable clarity of thought.
