Faust at Teatro Real

The Teatro Real opens its new season with a new staging of Charles Gounod's Fausto, an adaptation of German legend in the form of a great opera. Piotr Beczala and Ismael Jordi will portray the role of the main character, while Marina Rebeka and Irina Lungu will perform the role of Marguerite. Àlex Ollé will direct the fascinating Faustian legend opera with La Fura dels Baus at the Teatro Real in Madrid.

Libretto by Jules Barbier and Michel Carré, based on the play Faust et Marguerite (1850) by Michel Carré and the play of the same name (1808) by Johann Wolfgang Goethe.
