This New Year's concert reinforces the euphoria that comes with the turn of the year. Donna Brown has not only put together a first‐class ensemble of artists for this special occasion, but has also put together a new programme that concentrates entirely on soulful gospel classics. The music is rhythmically to hymnically perceptible to the bone and is carried by the ingenious acoustics of the Berlin Chamber Music Hall of the Philharmonie. The singers will heat up the hall in solos or as a choir with their strong voices. Accompanied by Donna Brown at the piano and her jazz band, they will sing the great hits of the gospel‐inspired soul era.
