The Comedian Harmonists Today were founded at the end of the 1920s in Berlin and became world famous during the turbulent war years. The musicians Alexander Franzen, Friedemann Hecht, Jörg Daniel Heinzmann, Thorsten Hennig, Johannes Schwärzky and Thomas Winter — known to Berlin audiences today primarily through their appearances in the comedy at Kurfürstendamm, the Schlosspark Theater Berlin or from the film series 'Das Adlon' — have lovingly embraced the eventful history of this a cappella group. In this charming Advent concert, they accompany Maria and Joseph in their search for a nursery place, following the Christian Christmas story.
The ensemble sings well‐known Christmas carols in perfect harmony, adorned with festive stories and poems. The ensemble has an excellent understanding of the amusement of the 'Golden Twenties' and thus touches the hearts of the audience with this special Christmas story — not for the first time.
