Special Offer! Miranda after Purcell

Lo spettacolo

Director Katie Mitchell and conductor Raphaël Pichon continue their exploration of Baroque music with this production based on Henry Purcell's music.

Rooted in the realities of life in Britain today, Miranda tells the story of a family remembering a wife and mother on the day of her funeral. Purcell's timeless music, from his sacred compositions to his instrumental and theatrical pieces, resonances deeply with the emotions and memories of the ultimate and universal trial, the ordeal of death.

In English, with French surtitles.
