Piano Recital: Alexei Volodin

Pianist Alexei Volodin dedicates his recital at La Sapienza in Rome to two masters of piano compositions: Schumann and Chopin.

Starting out with Schumann's Widmung in an arrangement by Liszt, Volodin then turns to Schumann's Kreisleriana which was dedicated to Chopin, continuing with Chopin's Ballata No. 2, dedicated to Schumann. The evening closes with Liszt's Sonata in B minor which he, too, dedicated to Schumann.
