Discover the enduring nature of Bach's influence on music, as the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra plays the maestro himself, and works inspired by him. Gordan Nikolić and Alina Ibragimova continue a musical relationship of long standing as they play Bach's Double Violin Concerto.

Few composers seem further removed from Bach than Shostakovich, but the Russian was deeply influenced by the 'father of western music', even going so far as to create his own set of '24 Preludes & Fugues' in emulation of 'The Well Tempered Klavier'. With a combination of works by the two composers, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra highlights a legacy that continues to unfold.
