Celebrated Polish pianist Piotr Anderszewski plays works that sit at the very center of the solo piano repertoire — Bach's 'Well Tempered Klavier, Book II', and Beethoven's supreme 'Diabelli Variations'.

The extraordinary inventiveness of Bach's 24 Preludes and Fugues — each in a different key — made the collection a seminal work in the evolution of music for the solo piano. Equally inventive, yet staying almost exclusively in the key of the original work, Beethoven's '33 Variations on a waltz by Anton Diabelli' have been described as the apotheosis of keyboard music by pianists and musicologists alike.
