Surrender to the passionate power of Rachmaninov's Third Piano Concerto, as the young Czech pianist Lukáš Vondráček, a fast rising star of the international concert circuit following his victory in the 2016 Queen Elisabeth Competition, returns to Prague.
Jac van Steen conducts the Prague Symphony in Prokofiev's 'Cinderella' Suite before Vondráček joins the orchestra on the podium for Rachmaninov's towering Concerto. Acclaimed for the sheer massive richness of his sound, and for his ability to draw individual voices from the strings of the piano, Vondráček's interpretation of this immense work will set the bar very high indeed.
