Delight in the fruits of commissions received from Boston and Berlin respectively, as the acclaimed conductor Alain Altinoglu conducts the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic in Bartók and Betsy Jolas.

A homesick exile of conscience from his beloved Hungary, it is unlikely to be coincidental that Bartók's 1943 'Concerto for Orchestra' features the folk melodies of his homeland so prominently. Jolas' 'A Little Summer Suite', composed for the Berlin Philharmonic and premiered just before her 90th birthday, rejects classification, drawing on inspirations from art forms beyond music.
