A hagyományos újévi koncert az I Virtuosi dell'opera di Roma zenekar együttesének előadásában a tekintélyes Szent Pál templomban. A több mint 20 éve színpadon lévő koncert lírai hangvételű, híres valcer és karácsonyi dalokkal gazdagított koncert. Bemutatkozik a szoprán S. Testa, a tenor A. Gentili és a bariton M. Utzeri.
Az I Virtuosi dell'opera di Roma neves zenekar egy olyan virtuóz zenészekből álló együttes, akik közül sokan a legjobb velencei konzervatóriumokban végeztek. Előadásaikat a világ minden tájáról érkező neves énekes szólistákkal való együttműködés teszi teljessé.

Chiesa di S. Paolo entro le Mura
The 'Church of St. Paul within the Walls' was the first non-Catholic church built in Rome after Italy's unification. The church was built between 1873 and 1880 as an Anglican Basilica in the district of Castro Pretorio, Via Nazionale, Rome. Constructed in the Gothic Revival style, the distinctive external facade is characterised by alternating red and limestone bricks. Four spectacular mosaics by the English pre-Raphaelite Edward Burne-Jones, in collaboration with William Morris, are the crowning glory of the church's interior. The eagle-eyed will spot several famous nineteenth-century figures among those representing the fathers of the church in the elaborate mosaics, among them the artist himself, notable donors and their families, and Abraham Lincoln, Giuseppe Garibaldi and General Grant among the 'Christian Warriors'. Many delightful classical events are hosted in this location, including performances of popular operas like La Traviata.

Los músicos y el repertorio son excepcionales y la acústica muy buena a pesar de que estábamos situados al final de la nave. El único problema era el frío intenso que hacía en la iglesia, que no nos dejó disfrutar del espectáculo. Sería conveniente que para este evento celebrado el día 1 de enero, en el que se supone que la temperatura va a ser muy baja, se instalaran radiadores en la nave que aclimataran algo el recinto, para que la estancia sea un poco más agradable.

Si il concerto è stato molto piacevole. Unico neo i posti in fondo non permettevano di vedere gli artisti che avrebbero dovuto essere posti più in alto. Ho risolto avvicinandomi e assistendo in piedi. Comunque sono soddisfatto
