A római ünnepi előadáson híres olasz operaáriák csendülnek fel a "Tosca", a "La Traviata" és a "L'Elisir d'amore" című operákból, valamint a legnépszerűbb nápolyi dalok, mint az "O'sole mio" és a "Torna a Surriento".
Három tenor szólistát vonósnégyes és nagyzongora kísér.

Chiesa di S. Paolo entro le Mura
A "Szent Pál templom a falakon belül" volt az első nem katolikus templom, amelyet Olaszország egyesítése után építettek Rómában. A templom 1873 és 1880 között épült anglikán bazilikaként a Castro Pretorio negyedben, a Via Nazionale-n, Rómában. A gótikus stílusban épült, jellegzetes külső homlokzatát vörös és mészkő téglák váltakozása jellemzi. A templom belsejét az angol pre-raffaelita Edward Burne-Jones William Morrisszal közösen készített négy látványos mozaikja koronázza meg. A sasszeműek a templom atyáit ábrázoló, díszes mozaikokon számos híres XIX. századi alakot felfedezhetnek, köztük magát a művészt, neves adományozókat és családtagjaikat, valamint a "keresztény harcosok" között Abraham Lincolnt, Giuseppe Garibaldit és Grant tábornokot. Számos elragadó klasszikus rendezvénynek ad otthont ez a hely, köztük olyan népszerű operák előadásainak, mint a La Traviata.
Giuseppe Verdi
Giuseppe Verdi olasz operaszerző volt. Fiatal korától kezdve egy mecénás segítségével zenei képzést kapott, és hamarosan uralta az olasz operajátszást. Valójában a 30-as éveire az egyik legbefolyásosabb operaszerzővé vált az egész klasszikus színtéren. Leghíresebb operái az Il Trovatore, a Rigoletto és a La Traviata. Giacomo Puccini
Giacomo Puccini olasz operaszerző volt a 19. század végén. Az olasz opera egyik legnagyobb zeneszerzőjeként tartották számon, Verdi után a második helyen állt. Korai műveire a hagyományos 19. századi romantikus olasz opera jellegzetességei voltak jellemzőek. Később stílusa a realista verismo stílus felé fejlődött, amely leghíresebb remekműveinek megírására inspirálta, és a stílus egyik vezető képviselőjévé vált. Legismertebb művei, a La bohème (1896), a Tosca (1900), a Pillangókisasszony (1904) és a Turandot (1924) mind népszerű operák, amelyeket a klasszikus világ legrangosabb színpadain játszanak.
Gaetano Donizetti
Gaetano Donizetti olasz zeneszerző volt a 19. század elején. Gioachino Rossini és Vincenzo Bellini mellett a bel canto opera stílus egyik vezető zeneszerzője volt. Donizetti pályafutása során közel 70 operát írt, komikus és komoly operákat egyaránt. Első jelentős sikerét egy komoly operával, a Zoraida di Granata cíművel aratta, amelyet 1822-ben mutattak be Rómában. Ennek hatására nagy hatást gyakorolt az olasz és a nemzetközi operajátszásra, és a figyelmet az opera seria (nemesi és "komoly" stílusú operák) felé terelte. Legismertebb művei közé tartoznak azonban az olyan vígjátékok, mint a L'elisir d'amore (1832) és a Don Pasquale (1843).
Eduardo Di Capua
Eduardo di Capua olasz zeneszerző volt a 19. század végén. Apja zenész volt, és ő vezette be őt a zene világába. Valójában apjával számos európai országot bejárt. Egyik 1898-as ukrajnai útja során komponálta az "O sole mio" híres dallamát Giovanni Capurro költővel együtt. Az O sole mio nem hivatalos, romantikus olasz himnusszá vált. Vicces módon az 1920-as antwerpeni olimpiai játékokon állítólag a zenekar karmestere nem találta a tényleges olasz nemzeti himnusz zenéjét, és helyette az "O sole miót" játszotta.

Bravo aux trois ténors qui savent allier technique, brio et humour pour des oeuvres que certes on connaît bien mais que l'on entend toujours avec plaisir en "live". Enjoyed the performance and selection of music etc. However, the overall experience could be much better if performers used microphones attached to lapels. Also, extremely hot with no air‐conditioning. On a positive note the tenors did a good job of engaging the audience in Part two of the performance

The performance was good, it was uncomfortably cold, so some heating would have been welcome. Also an announcement to ask people not to take photos would have been very good . They were very distracting, but also the girl telling them to stop was also distracting.
