A propos du spectacle
Benjamin Britten était un pacifiste convaincu, et son War Requiem est une prise de position musicale et politique profonde, intégrant les poésies de la Première Guerre mondiale de Wilfred Owen avec des textes liturgiques traditionnels latins.
Le Philharmonischer Chor Berlin, la Berliner Singakademie et le Konzerthausorchester Berlin se regroupent pour interpréter le War Requiem de Britten à la Philharmonie de Berlin.
Les chœurs et l'orchestre seront joints par le chœur de garçons du Staats‐ et Domchor Berlin, dirigé par Achim Zimmermann.
