Leading his own ensemble, the acclaimed Collegium Vocale Ghent, Herreweghe has assembled an impressive team of soloists, including Maximilian Schmitt as the Evangelist, and Croatian bass Krešimir Stražanac as Christ, to tell the story of the Passion, as described by the apostle John.
