Orchestre du Chambre de Paris & Gautier Capuçon: Konzerthaus Berlin

Sobre el espectáculo

Succumb to the charms of a chamber orchestra — and one of the world's most charismatic cellists. Gautier Capuçon joins the Orchestre du Chambre de Paris, under the baton of Adrien Perruchon, for works by Haydn, Massenet, and Giovanni Sollima.

Works by Rossini and Ravel frame the concert, adding an Italianate charm to the evening with the Sonata for String Orchestra, and the overture from La Scala di Seta, and the gentle sensuality of the 'Pavane for a Dead infanta'. Haydn's 'Cello Sonata No.1' is a core work of the solo cello repertoire, while a transcription of the Méditation from Massenet's 'Thaïs' and Sollima's Violoncelles, vibrez! show less familiar facets of the instrument.
