Mârouf, Cobbler of Cairo: Opéra Comique

Sobre el espectáculo

Take a journey into the Arabian Nights as Marc Minkowski and Jérome Deschamps return to the Opéra Comique with their successful production of Henri Rabaud's 1914 hit.

Telling the tale of the hapless Mârouf, a humble cobbler who flees his henpecked life, and with a little audacious deception becomes the husband of a princess and a wealthy man, the work was an international success in the early decades of the Twentieth Century. The 2013 Opéra Comique production returned 'Mârouf' to prominence, featuring Jean‐Sébastien Bou in the role he now reprises.
