Konzerthausorchester Berlin: Juraj Valcuha and Christian Tetzlaff

Sobre el espectáculo

Delight in the stories told by music, when played by a master of its art. Christian Tetzlaff plays Karol Szymanowski’s Concerto for Violin No. 1, under the baton of Juraj Valčuha.

Ravel’s ‘Mother Goose’ sets the scene for an evening of lyrical storytelling, and Respighi’s ‘The Pines of Rome’ transports listeners to the Eternal City, but it is Szymanowski’s Concerto that sits at the heart of the program, with its strains echoing the Polish poet, Tadeusz Miciński's rapturous neo‐romantic poem, 'May Night'##.
