Director Tatjana Gürbaca brings her version of the Ring tetralogy to the stage of the Theater an der Wien.
Gürbaca looks at the final catastrophe of Wagner's masterwork, the death of Siegfried, through the eyes of the three main characters Hagen, Brunhild, and Siegfried to make their version of the events surrounding Siegfried's death visible to the audience. In order to so, she drew from Wagner's entire Ring tetralogy, bringing the story lines together in a new and fresh approach.
The last evening of the trilogy at the Theater an der Wien relates the events from Brunhild's perspective using excerpts from the Valkyrie and Twilight of the Gods.
