The birthplace of this orchestra is Weimar. It was founded by musicians in 1987. The main repertoire is the classical music of the 18th and 19th century. Today the renowned musicians of several ensembles keep alive their desire of special programs, orchestra series and recordings. They play regularly at the Gewandhaus Leipzig, the Cologne Philharmony and on several festivals.
