Yannick Nézet‐Séguin & Orchestre Métropolitain de Montréal

About the Event

Witness the perfect coalescence of the francophone and anglophone worlds, as the celebrated Quebecois conductor brings his acclaimed orchestra to Europe for the first time in 36 years.

Accompanied by soloists of the highest calibre — cellist Stéphane Tétreault and pianist Alexandre Taraud — Nézet‐Séguin leads a program that includes the quintessentially French — Debussy's La Mer and Ravel's 'Piano Concerto for the Left hand'- Elgar's inimitably English 'Cello Concerto', and a work that springs from a place where these two traditions mingle freely. Éric Champagne is a rising star in Montréal's music scene, and his work Exil interieur receives its Netherlands premiere in this concert, played by the orchestra that commissioned the piece in 2012.
