The BBC Philharmonic, the renowned ensemble of the legendary British broadcaster, and its new chief conductor Omer Meir Wellber are dedicated to a multifaceted program. Delius' 'Walk to the Paradise Garden' is an interlude from his opera 'A Village Romeo and Juliet,' a sound idyll that testifies to the love of the German‐English composer for nature. The first cello concerto by the polystylist Alfred Schnittke from 1985/86 — interpreted by Jan Vogler.
