A beloved and deeply tragic opera, where in the Age of the Pharaohs the Ethiopian princess Aida and the Egyptian commander Radames have to choose between love and country.

The Birgitta Festival of the Tallinn Philharmonic Society combines the dark charm of a medieval convent in Tallinn, Estonia with the latest in modern musical theatre in all its variety and richness.

Gates open two hours before the scheduled starting time of a performance. The Ribe Summer Terrace and Altia wine cellar also open at this same time.
