A gala evening of arias and choruses at the Estonian National Opera.

The concert of the upcoming season is dedicated to the generation of young singers. Talented young singers, whose career is just about to take wing from Estonia and its neighbouring countries, will step on stage. Recognition at international competitions has brought them to the spotlight of European opera houses. Laura Teivāne is a finalist of the Klaudia Taev singing competition (2017), who has been praised for her high and resounding soprano voice and charming stage presence. Elina Nechayeva recently won hearts with a brilliant performance at the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon, bringing home the 8th place.
Modestas Sedlevičius is the winner of the 2nd prize of the Virgilijus Noreika singing competition (2017) and has made his opera debut in Teatro alla Scala. He is a talented and able baritone, whose repertoire stretches from virtuos Rossini arias to dramatic Verdi roles. Silja Aalto won the 2nd place at the PLMF singing competition (2017) and within the season 2017/18 she sang Countess Almaviva in Mozart’s “Le nozze di Figaro” at the Estonian National Opera. Reigo Tamm has sung various important tenor roles both at Vanemuine Theatre and at the Estonian National Opera and is the laureate of Crystal Shoe Award 2018. Mehis Tiits and Raiko Raalik are the grantees of the Estonian National Opera beginning from the season 2017/18 and both debuted in leading roles in Donizetti’s opera “L’Elisir d’amore” within the season.
