The Season de laVerdi comes to an end with two paradigmatic and, in their own way, revolutionary masterpieces: on the one hand Dvořák who, with his 'Ninth' From the New World, takes the nineteenth‐century Symphony overseas, thus destroying the barriers of musical Europe, and on the other Stravinsky's Le Sacre du Printemps, a milestone in history that destroys the past tradition by overwhelmingly sanctioning the advent of the twentieth century.
