Become part of a musical tradition that has cast its spell over generations. Bach's great Passion according to St. John weaves its magic once again, this time lead by a rising star of the Baroque scene, Valentin Tournet.
The Royal Chapel of Versailles has heard many interpretations of this seminal work through the centuries. Now the Friends of the Royal Opera lend their support to an endeavor that brings together established stars such as Sebastian Kohlhepp, who reprises the role of the Evangelist following a recent recording with René Jacobs, the expert musicians of La Chapelle Harmonique and the twenty‐year‐old Tournet to continue the tradition.
