The Orchestre national de Lille and Olivier Latry play Tanguy, Messiaen, Saint‐Saëns

About the Event

Celebrate the rich and powerful sound of the organ through a program of works by Camille Saint‐Saëns, Olivier Messiaen and Éric Tanguy, performed by the Orchestre national de Lille and organist Olivier Latry under the direction of Alexandre Bloch.

Éric Tanguy composed his Concerto for organ in 2013, stating that the organ is already an orchestra itself. This focus on the richness and versatility of the organ is also at the heart of Camille Saint‐Saëns' Symphony n° 3 with organ and Messiaen's sublime and meditative Offrandes oubliées, two works also featured on the program of this concert.
