About the Event
Delight in Mozart's timeless opera as it returns once more to Aix. Raphaël Pichon conducts Ensemble Pygmalion and a cast of rising and established stars in Simon McBurney's acclaimed production.
Stanislas de Barbeyrac and Mari Eriksmoen sing the lovers Tamino and Pamina, with Kathryn Lewek and Dimitry Ivashchenko at opposite ends of the scale as the Queen of the Night and Sarastro. Thomas Oliemans sings the irrepressible Papageno — a signature role for the star baritone.
