The Last Glorious Romantic Season in Vienna
About the Event
After Beethoven and Schubert, the romantic season in Vienna does not die but, on the contrary, starts again. The protagonists of this last, glorious musical season were Johannes Brahms and Anton Bruckner who, with their languages, transformed the Austrian capital into a hotbed of new experimentation and ancient traditions. Thus, between 1874 and 1878, two masterpieces of dazzling beauty were created that Claus Peter Flor performed with laVerdi accompanied by the Dutch violinist Liza Ferschtman.
