About the Event

The Cadaqués Orchestra and the Venezolan pianist Gabriela Montero will perform a wonderful program of works by Beethoven, Rachmaninoff and Albéniz at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid.

The Cadaqués Orchestra was created in 1988 under the auspices of the Cadaqués Festival, where it debuted with the participation of Victoria de los Angeles and Alicia de Larrocha. The orchestra was formed by a selection of musicians from all over Europe, who were attracted by the ambitious art project. The Orchestra meets regularly to perform in major series and festivals. Many programmes are characterised by the orchestra's desire to bring a fresh perspective to the symphonic repertoire, including rediscoveries of historic musical heritage and works of contemporary artists.
