Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden, Daniel Harding & Matthias Goerne: Mahler & Dvořák

About the Event

Do not miss the chance to hear one of the oldest orchestras in the world, the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden, and one of the most celebrated baritones of our time, Matthias Goerne, together for a program of works by Mahler and Dvořák, under the direction of a no less renowned conductor, Daniel Harding.

The Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden was founded in 1548. Its talented musicians will perform Dvořák’s Symphony No.8 and Mahler's 'Blumine', before being joined by Matthias Goerne for a performance of Mahler's famous 'Kindertotenlieder', based on poems by Friedrich Rückert.
