Internationally acclaimed Russian‐born pianist and conductor Vladimir Ashkenazy conducts works by Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, and Mendelssohn at the Philharmonie in Berlin.

The program of the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiano includes the jovial Symphony No. 1 by Prokofiev – his shortest and most popular symphony, Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Roccoco Theme for cello and orchestra with soloist Alexey Stadler, and Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4, inspired by the color and atmosphere of Italy.
