Sydney Opera House
An architectural masterpiece
The Sydney Opera House is one of the most remarkable buildings of the 20th century and it is the city's defining landmark. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, Sydney Opera House opened its doors on October 20, 1973. The building became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007. The venue includes several performance spaces, and it is home to the Australian Ballet, the Opera Australia and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
